Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern use of the SLIDR website and purchases made through SLIDR.

SLIDR is operated by Uday Dandyan, a sole trader trading as SLIDR, based in New South Wales, Australia.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

1. About SLIDR

SLIDR is an ecommerce retailer of compact digital cameras and related accessories.

The storefront is operated using Lovable and Shopify ecommerce technology.

Orders may be fulfilled by third-party providers, including DSers and international product suppliers.

2. Customer eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

• you have legal capacity to enter the transaction; or
• where required because of your age, the transaction has appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

3. Product description

We take reasonable steps to describe SLIDR products accurately.

The SLIDR digital camera currently supports product features including:

• selectable photo settings up to 64MP;
• selectable video settings up to 4K;
• 16× digital zoom;
• autofocus operation;
• f/3.2 aperture;
• rear IPS LCD;
• TF card storage up to 32GB;
• USB-C charging/data connectivity;
• removable rechargeable lithium-ion battery;
• JPG photo format;
• AVI video format;
• continuous shooting;
• timer shooting;
• exposure controls;
• white-balance settings; and
• digital effects and scene modes.

The specifications displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase form part of the product description.

4. Meaning of technical claims

“Up to 64MP” refers to selectable photograph-resolution settings offered by the camera. It should not be interpreted as a representation that every component or sensor is natively 64 megapixels unless we expressly state that.

“Up to 4K” refers to the highest selectable video-resolution setting.

“16× zoom” means digital zoom, not optical zoom.

5. Included items

Unless the relevant product page states otherwise, the standard SLIDR package includes:

• one SLIDR digital camera;
• one removable rechargeable battery;
• one USB-C charging cable;
• one wrist strap;
• one soft travel/carry pouch; and
• one user manual.

A TF card is not included unless expressly stated.

A USB-C card reader/phone-transfer adapter is not included unless expressly stated.

6. Product colours

SLIDR may be offered in:

• Silver;
• White;
• Pink; and
• Black.

The colour variants are intended to have the same core specifications.

Minor colour differences may occur because of:

• screen calibration;
• lighting;
• photography;
• manufacturing batches; and
• material finish.

7. Product imagery

SLIDR uses commercial product imagery to present the camera.

Some website images may be:

• professionally retouched;
• digitally cleaned;
• composited;
• rendered; or
• prepared for consistent ecommerce presentation.

Such presentation does not change the written technical specifications of the product.

Customers should rely on the written product description for technical features.

8. Accuracy of representations

SLIDR will take reasonable steps not to make false or misleading representations concerning:

• price;
• performance;
• specifications;
• delivery;
• product inclusions;
• discounts; or
• consumer rights.

Australian online businesses remain subject to ordinary consumer-law obligations, including rules concerning misleading representations.

9. Pricing

Prices may be displayed in different currencies depending on:

• customer location;
• store settings; and
• selected currency.

The final purchase price will be shown before checkout is completed.

Prices may change prospectively without notice.

A change to the advertised price after an order has been accepted will not ordinarily change the agreed price for that order.

10. Taxes

Applicable taxes may be:

• included in displayed prices;
• calculated at checkout;
• collected by Shopify or another provider; or
• payable on import depending on destination.

International customers may also be subject to charges imposed by their local customs or taxation authority as described in our Shipping Policy.

11. Orders

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the selected products.

We may refuse or cancel an order before fulfilment where reasonably necessary because of:

• payment failure;
• suspected fraud;
• stock unavailability;
• an obvious pricing or system error;
• legal restrictions;
• shipping restrictions; or
• inability to fulfil the order.

Where we cancel an order after receiving payment, we will refund the relevant amount.

12. Payment

Payments are processed through payment options shown at Shopify checkout, including Shopify Payments and supported Shop functionality.

Payment methods available to a particular customer may vary by:

• country;
• currency;
• transaction;
• Shopify configuration; and
• payment-provider availability.

SLIDR does not guarantee that any particular third-party payment method will always be available.

13. Customer accounts

Customers may be able to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials;
• providing accurate information; and
• notifying us of suspected unauthorised account activity.

We may suspend accounts reasonably believed to be involved in fraud or unlawful activity.

14. Shipping

Shipping is governed by the SLIDR Shipping Policy.

Orders may be dispatched from China through third-party fulfilment providers.

Processing may take up to four business days before dispatch.

Estimated delivery periods are estimates rather than guarantees unless expressly stated otherwise.

15. Order cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only where the cancellation can be completed before fulfilment has progressed too far to stop the shipment.

Once fulfilment begins or the order has shipped, cancellation may no longer be operationally possible.

Mandatory statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.

16. Returns and refunds

Returns, refunds and cancellations are governed by the SLIDR Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy.

SLIDR does not generally offer voluntary change-of-mind returns where applicable law does not require them.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

17. Australian Consumer Law

Australian customers have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Products are subject to automatic consumer guarantees. If a guarantee is not met, remedies can include repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

SLIDR does not impose a fixed six-month or twelve-month contractual warranty that replaces those rights.

Consumer guarantees may continue beyond any manufacturer's stated warranty period.

18. UK consumer rights

Where SLIDR enters a qualifying distance contract with a UK consumer, mandatory UK consumer rights apply.

UK government guidance states that online sellers must provide customers with information including the business name, contact details, address, price, delivery arrangements and cancellation information.

Qualifying online customers also generally receive statutory cancellation rights even where the product is not faulty.

19. European Union consumer rights

Where SLIDR sells to a qualifying EU consumer, mandatory EU consumer protections apply.

These may include:

• pre-contract information rights;
• a 14-day online-shopping withdrawal period; and
• mandatory conformity guarantees.

EU online consumers generally have 14 days after delivery to withdraw from a qualifying distance purchase without providing a reason.

20. No separate commercial warranty

SLIDR does not currently offer a separate fixed-term manufacturer's or retailer's commercial warranty.

This does not remove statutory guarantees, warranties, remedies or conformity rights that arise automatically under applicable law.

21. Customer use of the camera

Customers must use the camera reasonably and in accordance with supplied instructions.

This includes using:

• compatible TF cards;
• appropriate USB-C power sources;
• suitable charging equipment; and
• appropriate accessories.

You should not intentionally expose the camera to environmental conditions for which it is not represented as suitable.

22. TF-card storage

SLIDR supports TF-card storage up to the capacity stated in the product specifications, currently up to 32GB.

We do not warrant that larger or differently formatted cards will function correctly simply because they physically fit.

23. Customer data and recorded files

Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of photos and videos that are important to them.

Removable storage media can:

• become corrupted;
• fail;
• be accidentally formatted;
• be accidentally deleted; or
• become unreadable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SLIDR is not responsible for data loss caused solely by:

• a third-party TF-card failure;
• accidental customer deletion;
• improper formatting;
• incompatible storage media;
• customer-device failure; or
• misuse.

Nothing in this provision excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

24. Third-party accessories

The camera may be used with third-party products such as:

• TF cards;
• USB-C card readers;
• phones;
• computers;
• chargers; and
• adapters.

SLIDR does not guarantee compatibility with every third-party product.

References to a generic card reader or phone-transfer method do not mean that such accessories are included unless expressly stated.

25. Website availability

We aim to maintain the website but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Website availability may be affected by:

• Shopify;
• Lovable;
• hosting providers;
• payment services;
• maintenance;
• internet outages;
• security events; and
• matters outside our reasonable control.

26. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, SLIDR owns or is authorised to use the branding and original website content made available through the SLIDR storefront, including applicable:

• logos;
• design;
• copy;
• product graphics;
• diagrams;
• photography;
• videos; and
• other creative content.

You may not reproduce, commercially exploit or republish SLIDR-owned content without permission except where permitted by law.

27. Acceptable use

You must not knowingly:

• interfere with website security;
• introduce malware;
• attempt unauthorised access;
• commit payment fraud;
• create fraudulent transactions;
• impersonate another person;
• exploit technical errors;
• misuse discount mechanisms;
• infringe intellectual-property rights; or
• use SLIDR's services for unlawful purposes.

28. Reviews and customer content

Where SLIDR permits customer reviews or other submissions, content must reflect the customer's genuine experience where represented as such.

SLIDR may moderate content that:

• contains unlawful material;
• contains personal information;
• is abusive;
• is spam;
• is unrelated to the product; or
• is demonstrably fraudulent.

We will not knowingly fabricate customer reviews or materially alter genuine reviews in a misleading manner.

29. Promotions

Promotions may be subject to:

• eligibility criteria;
• expiry dates;
• product restrictions;
• geographical restrictions; and
• usage limits.

Promotion conditions will be disclosed where relevant.

SLIDR will not knowingly display a fictitious prior selling price merely to create the impression of a discount.

30. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SLIDR is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from circumstances for which liability may legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits:

• Australian Consumer Law rights;
• liability for fraud;
• liability that cannot legally be excluded;
• mandatory UK consumer rights;
• mandatory EU consumer rights; or
• any other non-excludable statutory right.

31. Events outside reasonable control

SLIDR is not responsible for delay caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

• natural disasters;
• severe weather;
• war;
• government action;
• major transport disruption;
• widespread carrier failure;
• telecommunications outages; or
• comparable events.

This clause does not remove statutory cancellation, refund or other rights arising under applicable law.

32. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future use where necessary because of:

• legal changes;
• operational changes;
• technology changes;
• new services; or
• business changes.

The terms applicable to an existing purchase will generally be the terms presented when that purchase was made, subject to mandatory law.

33. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.

34. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in New South Wales, Australia, subject to mandatory consumer rights and jurisdictional protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

This governing-law provision is not intended to deprive an overseas consumer of mandatory protections available under the laws applicable to their purchase.
